Habukkuk Song on 09.16.12

We began by lifting our voices and hearts to God by singing Glory to God Forever and a really driving version of the old hymn For the Beauty of the Earth.  Our community sang and read scripture and clapped and celebrated the goodness of God and all God has made.

After we sat down, Sharon shared a song she had written from Habakkuk 3 called Habukkuk Song.  Here is the 11:15am performance…

In the holy space following, we took some time to pray four simple prayers:

I stand in awe of Your good deeds, Lord,
Repeat them in our day,
Please make them known in my family.

I stand in awe of Your deeds, Lord,
Repeat them in our day,
Please make them known at my job.

I stand in awe of Your deeds, Lord,
Repeat them in our day,
Please make them known in our church.

I stand in awe of Your deeds, Lord,
Repeat them in our day,
Please make them known in our world.

And collecting all our prayers together and declaring our profound dependence on Jesus Christ, we stood and bellowed out the old spiritual I Want Jesus to Walk With Me.  All along my journey…I want Jesus to walk with me!

Peace,
Aaron
