God is Love on 08.05.12

Last weekend, we immersed ourselves into the depth of the Love of God.  After reading this beautiful quote from A.W.Tozer…

“…God’s Love is an incomprehensibly vast, bottomless, shoreless sea before which we kneel in joyful silence and from which the loftiest eloquence retreats confused and abashed.”

…we launched into 20 minutes of prayer, singing, silence, and reading the scriptures…bringing us to our knees before the “incomprehensibly vast” Love of God.

-I Could Sing of Your Love Forever

If you’re interested in digging more deeply into this, the whole experience was from “A New Liturgy No 1: God is Love“.  A New Liturgy is a collection of 25 minute “liturgies” that some of us from the worship team have been creating over the last year.  We’re creating journeys of prayer, music, and scripture that can help create holy space wherever we find ourselves:  driving to work, running on the bike path, cleaning the house, etc.  Here’s a little more of the story:

You can learn more about this New Liturgy and others at anewliturgy.com.

Many blessings,
